Privacy Policy

Midnight Bakery is developed and published by Ripley Forge LLC. This policy describes the Android game, the iPhone/iPad preview, and these support pages. For privacy questions, contact privacy@earchelon.com.
Private previews: All 500 levels and both themes are free. Rescue tokens are available to everyone. Optional rewarded ads are offered only to players who select “18 or older.” This private preview uses Google test ads and earns no ad revenue.
iPhone and iPad preview
iOS build 4 adds optional adult-only Google rewarded test ads and privacy choices to the 500-level preview. Earlier iOS builds have no ads. All iOS builds include free rescue tokens, local progress, and manual backup/restore. There are no purchases, Google Play Games, or automatic game-account cloud sync on iOS. No account is needed to play. The age choice and optional-ad controls below apply to iOS build 4 and later as well as Android.
Game progress stays in the app unless you export a backup through Apple’s Files picker, including to iCloud Drive if you choose it. Imported saves carry progress but not age or ad choices. Apple may process TestFlight feedback and diagnostics under its own terms. Deleting the iOS app removes its local game; keep a backup first and delete exported files separately.
Local game progress and backups
The game stores unlocked and completed levels, scores, the current board and remaining moves, selected pastry, theme, sound preference, help prompts you have seen, rescue-token earning and spending, and reward status on your device. The Android app also saves your selected age category (18 or older, under 18, or not provided) and optional-ad preference locally. It does not ask for your birth date. This lets you resume play and receive a completed ad reward once. You can play without connecting cloud saves. Ripley Forge LLC does not operate a separate game-save server.
Backup & restore lets you export progress to a file you choose through Android’s file picker, including a cloud-storage provider you select. It does not request broad file access. Anyone you give this file can read its game data. Exports omit age and advertising choices. The app disables Android automatic cloud backup. Uninstalling or clearing app storage removes local progress and local recovery copies; keep an exported backup first. Browser previews store separate local progress.
Optional Play Games cloud saves
Version 1.0.3 adds an optional Cloud saves control. Connecting it stores your completed levels, scores, active board, moves, rescue-token balance, and game preferences with Google Play Games so you can continue on another device using the same Play Games account. It does not upload your age category or ad-consent choices. Conflicting games require a choice; copies are retained locally for recovery. Turning off cloud saves stops future game-save requests from that device and keeps existing saves.
The app includes Google’s Play Games SDK, which can authenticate your existing Play Games profile when the app starts. Google processes gamer identity, service analytics, and diagnostics. The game uses your player ID and display name to identify the connected account and prevent cross-account save replacement. It does not request a friends list. Google encrypts Play Games data in transit. See Google’s Play Games data disclosure and Privacy Policy.
Uninstalling does not delete your cloud save. To remove it, first turn off Cloud saves on every device, then follow Google’s instructions for deleting a game’s Play Games data. Delete exported files separately from the location where you saved them. Play Games sign-in and cloud saving are separate from the adult-only advertising setting.
Age and privacy choices
At first launch, you choose an age group or “Prefer not to say.” Under-18 and unspecified-age settings do not start Google’s consent or ad services. All levels, pastry powers, and rescue tokens remain available. Adults can turn optional ads off or change their age setting under Privacy & ads on the home screen.
For adults with optional ads enabled, Google’s User Messaging Platform checks privacy requirements when the app opens and presents a privacy form where applicable. Google processes technical request information and consent choices to provide this service. Privacy & ads → Google ad privacy choices lets you revisit the form when available. If the privacy check fails, the game does not request ads.
Optional Google rewarded ads
Android and iOS build 4 or later include Google’s Mobile Ads service (AdMob). For adults with optional ads enabled and a successful privacy check, the ad service initializes when an ad is requested. Ads are configured for non-personalized delivery with a general-audience content limit. When your rescue tokens run out, completing an eligible rewarded ad offers five additional moves. Each attempt allows one rescue, using either a token or an ad. You can skip the ad and restart for free.
Google’s ad service may receive your IP address, approximate location inferred from it, ad interactions such as taps and video views, device or app identifiers, and performance information. Google uses this information to deliver and measure advertising and prevent fraud. The current Android build removes the advertising-ID permission and disables the ad SDK’s crash reporting; those settings do not prevent all SDK data collection. On iOS, the game does not request App Tracking Transparency permission or access to the advertising identifier (IDFA); publisher first-party ad ID and SDK crash reporting are disabled. These choices do not eliminate all ad-service data collection. Google encrypts SDK data in transit.
Read Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information for advertising for its data handling and controls. The game does not send your saved board or level history to a developer-operated analytics service. Google’s ad measurement and Play Games services are separate services.
Your choices and deletion
You can play the puzzles without requesting an ad. Selecting “Under 18” or “Prefer not to say” avoids Google ad-consent and advertising requests. Adults can disable optional ads in Privacy & ads; disabling them prevents future requests from the game. Data already sent is not recalled. To remove locally saved game data, use Android Settings → Apps → Midnight Bakery → Storage → Clear data (wording varies by device), or uninstall the game. This permanently removes the local copy of your progress. For a browser preview, clear that site’s browser data.
Deleting the game does not delete information already held by Google or support messages you sent. Use Google’s privacy controls for its services, or contact us about information you have sent to Ripley Forge LLC. We do not hold a separate copy of your locally saved game to restore or delete.
Audience
Midnight Bakery is intended for teens and adults aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. The game does not ask for a name, date of birth, or email address to play. If you believe a child under 13 has supplied personal information to us, contact us so we can address the request.
Purchases and other permissions
Both bakery themes are free. Rescue tokens cannot be purchased. Purchases and subscriptions are not enabled, and the game does not request payment-card information. It does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or precise device location.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to include. Support and privacy mail is handled through an iCloud Mail mailbox managed by the developer. Messages are retained there without a fixed automatic deletion schedule; you can contact us to request deletion. Apple handles the email service under its own privacy terms.
The developer may use a third-party AI tool to help investigate an app issue. Names, email addresses, and personal details unrelated to troubleshooting are removed before sharing a report, but relevant message text or attachments may be provided to the tool’s provider under its own terms. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in support messages.
This website
These pages are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request headers, and technical information to deliver and secure the website under its Privacy Policy. Ripley Forge LLC has not added advertising, analytics, tracking cookies, or a contact form to these pages. Visiting them does not upload your game progress.
Updates and contact
We will update this policy as the game’s features and data practices change. This policy covers the Android private preview, iOS build 4 and later, and the support website. Older test builds may have different privacy controls.
