Midnight Bakery is a match-three puzzle game for teens and adults, developed by Ripley Forge LLC. The latest preview has 500 levels, all free to play.

Include your phone or tablet model, Android version, game version if known, level number, and what happened. A screenshot and the steps that caused the issue can help. Please leave passwords, payment details, and other sensitive information out of your message. The game does not automatically send us your progress or a diagnostic report.

What is the frosting?

The creamy icing on a square is frosting. Its number shows the layers left. Include that square’s ingredient in a match to remove one layer, or hit the square with a pastry or bonus blast. Frosting stays on its square when ingredients move. To finish the order, meet the ingredient and pastry goals and clear every frosting layer.

What does “pastries used” mean?

It counts how many times you activate your chosen pastry power. Match the required ingredients to fill the meters, tap Use, then tap the board. A Magic Baguette clears a row; a Cinnamon Swirl clears a 3 × 3 area. Activating either costs no moves. Choose your pastry under “Your Secret Recipe” on the bakery home screen before starting a new order.

Sugar Sparks and Rainbow Macarons do not count toward the pastry-use goal.

Bonuses for bigger matches

• Match four in a straight line: create a Sugar Spark. Match it again to clear its row or column; the arrow shows which. You can also swap two neighboring Sugar Sparks, even when their ingredients differ, to trigger both for one move.
• Match five in a straight line: create a Rainbow Macaron. Swap it with a neighboring ingredient to clear every ingredient of that kind.

Continue an unfinished order

Use Continue on the bakery home screen to resume a saved order. The Back action asks before leaving an active order. Choosing to restart creates a fresh attempt. Progress is saved on this device, with optional Play Games cloud saves. Export a backup before uninstalling or clearing app storage.

Rescue tokens and extra moves

Everyone starts with 3 free rescue tokens. Complete 3 different orders for the first time to earn 1 more token. Previously completed orders count when updating from an older version; replaying completed orders does not earn more tokens. Your balance and the next earning milestone are shown under Rescue tokens on the bakery home screen.

When you run out of moves, spend 1 token to continue that board with 5 extra moves. Tokens work offline. Each attempt allows one rescue, using either a token or an ad. Restarting is always free. Tokens are part of your saved progress. Optional cloud saves and manual backups carry the balance with your game; tokens cannot be purchased or gifted to other players.

Optional ads for adults

When you have no rescue tokens left, players who selected “18 or older” and enabled optional ads can choose a rewarded ad for 5 extra moves. The reward is granted only after the ad reports completion. Closing early does not grant it. Under-18 players and those who choose “Prefer not to say” do not receive ads.

If an ad cannot load, check your connection and Privacy & ads on the home screen, or try again later. The puzzles and tokens work offline; ads need an internet connection and may not always be available. Debug builds show test ads and earn no revenue. Browser previews do not show native mobile ads.

Privacy settings

Use Privacy & ads on the home screen to change your age category, turn optional ads off, or revisit Google ad privacy choices when a form is available. You do not need to provide a birth date or create an account.

Bakery themes and payments

Both color themes and all 500 levels are free. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions in this preview.

iPhone and iPad preview

The iOS preview includes the same 500 levels, Sugar Spark combinations, Sugar Bursts, pastry powers and free rescue tokens. Build 4 adds optional rewarded test ads for adults, with the Privacy & ads controls described above. Earlier iOS builds have no ads. Purchases and automatic cloud sync are not enabled. Use Backup & restore to export a game to Files or iCloud Drive, then restore it on another device. The same save format works with Android. Restore replaces the receiving device’s game after confirmation. Keep a backup before uninstalling or changing installations.

Android phone and tablet cloud saves

In version 1.0.3, open Cloud saves and connect the same Google Play Games account on both devices. Continue playing offline as usual; connect to the internet and allow Play Games time to upload before switching devices. Open the bakery home screen on the other device to check for the latest save. “Saved with Play Games” means the game was handed to Google’s service; its server upload continues in the background.

If both devices changed, choose which complete game should continue. The app shows completed levels, rescue tokens, and the current order for each option. It does not combine tokens or levels from conflicting games. Cloud saves → Recovery copies can export a previous save; Backup & restore can restore that file. Changing the Play Games account pauses sync to prevent mixing accounts.

Lost progress or a different device

Use Backup & restore to save a file before uninstalling or switching from an older APK to Google Play. Restore that file in the new installation. Restoring replaces that device’s progress; it does not merge saves. Keep your backup until you have checked your levels and tokens.
